Singer Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has won the best cinematography category at the MTV music awards for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ his collaboration with American singer Beyonce.
The award was held on Sunday at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn New York.
Other nominees for the best cinematography category include Elias Talbot in ‘Holy’ by Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper, Jeff Cronenweth in Lady Gaga’s ‘911’ and Andrew Stroud in Lorde’s ‘Solar Power’.
Wizkid and Saint JHN joined Beyonce in 2019 to record “Brown Skin Girl” for her 2019 soundtrack album, The Lion King: The Gift.
This collaboration also earned Wizkid his first Grammy Award in March and a #72 spot in the billboard Hot 100 in 2019. He won two Soul Train Music Awards, the BET Awards, and a NAACP Image Award.
