Nollywood actor, Wole Ojo, has thrown his weight behind celebrities hitting back at rude fans.
Many entertainers have had to clap back at fans that had one negative thing or the other to say about them especially on social media.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with QED, Wole said he totally supports hitting back at fans with judgemental attitudes.
“We have had enough that is just it,” he began.
Though mindful of celebrities’ status as role models, the actors argued that they are humans too after all.
“Fine you do not expect us to reply because of our status and everything. We know we are supposed to set examples but some people can be annoying. For example on January 1, a supposed fan came on my wall and the first thing that came to his mind is the need to be judgemental. We are human too just like you. The only thing is that I am in that line of profession that puts me out there. I have feelings; I have blood running through my veins. So I feel there are boundaries people should start respecting. A lot of celebrities have been clapping back and I think it is fantastic. Believe me”.
The Maami star also confessed that he was yet to find a challenging role since he started acting.
“I say this with all sense of humility, I like the roles I have played so far but I am still looking for more challenging roles. I am not saying the roles I have played have necessarily been easy. Of course they have their own challenges but I am that kind of actor that likes to be stressed to the limit so I am still hoping to get that role,” he said.
Wole Ojo stars alongside Kehinde Bankole, Joseph Benjamin, Carol King, Bimbo Manuel and Ijeoma Grace Agu in Greg Odutayo’s new movie, Beyond Blood.
