Policemen in Surulere, Lagos State have arrested a 23-year-old, Stella Peter, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death over their daughter’s birthday party.
A statement release on Tuesday by police spokesman, Bala Elkanah, identified the deceased as 25-year-old Bala Haruna.

It added that the suspect has confessed to the the alleged crime.
“The couple who were not officially married, lived together at No 2 Tejuosho Avenue, Surulere lagos, for three years and have a Baby who just turned one,” the statement said.
According to the police, “an argument ensued between them which turned violent and the woman used a kitchen knife to stab the man in the back which led to his death.

“The woman accused the man of refusing to release money for their daughter’s birthday party.”
Homicide detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Yaba have taken over the investigation.
Stella will be charged to court for murder, Elkanah concluded.
