Nigerian recording artiste, Niyola, who adds a year today, December 9, is our woman crush this Wednesday.
Widely recognised for her unbelievable abs and toned bikini body, the singer was born Eniola Akinbo in Lagos, Nigeria.
After emerging the runner up at the Amen Starlet Competition in year 2000, Niyola began her music career professionally in 2005.
She was briefly affiliated with ELDee’s Trybes Records but later signed an official production deal with Freestyle’s Make Sum Noise Entertainment.
As an artiste under MSNE, she released three singles, ‘Me n U (In Da Club)’, ‘No More’ and ‘Dem Say’.
She went on to sign a recording deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment in 2012.
On May 22, 2013, Niyola released the hit single, ‘Toh Bad’ which earned her national recognition.
The EME first lady who has released over 10 singles including ‘Love To Love You’ and ‘Last Bus Stop’ is the recipient of the 2014 Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA) for the Best RnB Video and 2014 The Headies Awards for Best Female Vocal Performance.
In the spirit of celebration, Niyola, on Wednesday released a new single titled ‘Prayer’.
The track was produced by T.K and is mostly sung in the Yoruba dialect.
