Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo Rodriguez, according to official documents, was born on December 28, 1979. She thus clocked 37 on Thursday.
The Abia-born mother of one might be dealing with the effect of yo-yo dieting, but that has not stopped many fans from crushing on her.
Uche became an instant hit after her Nollywood debut, Visa to Hell, in 1999. She has since starred in over 60 movies like Black Bra, Corporate Runs, Love Games, Rush Hour and Wives on Strike.
As a screenwriter, she has written and co-written several movies including The Celebrity, Games Men Play, Girls in the Hood and A Time to Love.
She has also produced films such as Nollywood Hustlers, Holding Hope and Damage which deals with the issue of domestic violence.
After much hush-hush and initial denial, the mathematics and statistics graduate of the University of Calabar got married to American Kenney Rodriguez in 2012. The union has produced a son, Matthew.
Until Rodriguez came along, Uche’s closest male friend was Desmond Elliot. Her other close friends include Kate Henshaw, Omoni Oboli and Ufuoma McDermott.
