Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, is our woman crush this Wednesday
Born in Benin City, Edo State, Omoni started her acting career in 1996 while still at the University of Benin studying Foreign Languages.
She got married to Nnamdi Oboli in 2000 and took a 10-year break from acting to focus on her family and marriage.
In 2009, she returned to the big screen in the movie, Entanglement, where she starred alongside Mercy Johnson and Yemi Blaq.
She made her directorial debut in 2014 with the critically acclaimed Being Mrs Elliot.
In 2015, she released the movie The First Lady and embarked on a cinema tour across Nigeria.
On November 15, 2015, the 37-year-old was named Nollywood Personality of the Year at The Sun Awards.
She was also recently named brand ambassador to PZ diary product, Nunu Milk.
Movies like The Figurine, Anchor Baby and Being Mrs Elliot have established her as one of the most talented actresses in Nigeria, earning her various awards including the award for Best Actress at the Harlem International Film Festival and Big Screen Actress of the Year at the 2014 ELOY Award.
