Super Eagles rave of the moment, Junior Lokosa, would not be at the FIFA World Cup after being dropped by Gernot Rohr.
Lokosa, 19, sprung into the limelight following an incredible form for Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The ex-First Bank star was hoping to gatecrash the Nigerian squad and even made a huge statement in Monday’s 1-1 stalemate with DR Congo.
However, Lokosa may have to wait for his time after being released from the provisional squad heading to London on Wednesday.
Alongside the powerful forward, injured Moses Simon, Stephen Eze, Dele Ajiboye and Uche Agbo also missed the cut.

Rohr will further trim his squad to 23 after Saturday’s friendly with England.
Reports claim either of Tyronne Ebuehi or Ola Aina and one of Joel Obi or Mikel Agu could be sacrificed.
