Cameroon coach, Hugo Broos, has ignorantly lent a helping hand to the Super Eagles as both teams prepare for the make or break FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria will square off against the reigning African champions in a two-legged fixture in August.
Gernot Rohr’s team hold a slight edge over their neighbours having garnered maximum six points in their last two games.
Yet, many Nigerians started showing signs of despair following the team’s shocking 2-0 loss to South Africa in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier two weeks ago.
But Broos, whose team is currently competing at 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia, perhaps has given Nigerians a reason to be hopeful.
The German tactician hinted that he lacks quality strikers in his team, which should excite Rohr.
“If you have one [striker] in mind, please tell me his name and I’ll go straight away and see him,” Broos told BBC on Friday.
“We’re searching, we’re searching, we’re searching and we keep on searching but you have to be able to find one. Someone who scores goals.
“Yes, it’s very easy to say you haven’t got players who score (but) you have to find them.
“You should know as someone from Cameroon that Cameroonian football is not as rich (in strikers) at the moment.”
Cameroon failed to score in their opening match at the tournament in Russia as they lost 2-0 to Copa America winners Chile.
They were also culpable of missing several clear-cut chances in the 1-1 draw against Australia.
Unlike the central Africans, Nigeria is blessed with abundant of strikers.
Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye, Olarenwaju Kayode, Isaac Success, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, amongst others can effectively fit into the Eagles team.
