Actress Wumi Toriola has praised her senior colleague Iyabo Ojo amid the ongoing controversy between the latter and social media influencer VeryDarkMan.
Taking to her Instagram account on Wednesday, Wumi celebrated Iyabo for her resilience, sharing a series of pictures of the actress.
In her post, Wumi described Iyabo, a mother of two, as a symbol of resilience. She highlighted her as a brave, tender, and fierce personality clothed in strength and dignity.
“#WCW A SYMBOL OF RESILIENCE @iyaboojofespris. The world needs strong women like you. Women who will lift and build others, who will love and be loved. Women who live bravely, both tender and fierce. You are clothed in strength and dignity,” she wrote.
Wumi went on to proclaim Iyabo a queen who wears many crowns, revealing that she is also a woman with good intentions.
“A woman who wears so many crowns. Always on the right side of history. A QUEEN! A woman with good intentions but highly misconstrued, supportive, loving, and never judging,” she added.
Acknowledging Iyabo’s illustrious career, Wumi prayed for strength for the actress.
“You’ve graced our screens for decades and at this very point, you still make it worth it. May God continue to strengthen you. May your light continue to shine bright. As a woman, I am sending you so much love and hugs this morning. Take your flowers, QUEEN MOTHER. I stan, and restan,” she wrote.
Iyabo, moved by Wumi’s tribute, took to the comment section to express her gratitude.
“Awwwww love mi … thank you, I’m so humbled. I love you,” she responded.
This outpouring of support for Iyabo Ojo comes as TV personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown also showed her support via Instagram on Wednesday.
