Actress, television presenter, fashion designer and singer Lara Olubo has died.
Known for her vibrant on-screen presence and Yoruba presenting skills, Olubo’s death has thrown the media and entertainment industries into mourning.
She hosted shows on Orisun TV including Miliki Express, Oju Oja and Eto Baba Eto which earned her widespread acclaim and dedicated followers.
Olubo has played different characters in several Yoruba movies.
Mourning her, actress Mercy Aigbe wrote on Instagram on Saturday night that she was still in denial of the TV presenter’s death.
“Hmmm. life. Still in denial. Adieu Omolara,” she wrote.
Blogger Temilola Sobola also joined in mourning the deceased on Instagram.
Actress Wumi Toriola expressed sorrow over the presenter’s death. Commenting on Sobola’s Instagram post, Wumi said: “Hmmmm Aunty Lara Olubo. Rest in peace. This is really sad.”
The cause of Olubo’s death was not immediately clear.
