Singer Wunmi Obe has paid tribute to her younger brother Jaiye Aboderin, marking two decades since his death.

In an emotional post on Instagram on Tuesday, Wunmi shared photos of Jaiye alongside a message celebrating his life and impact.

She wrote, “(16/07/1971 – 03/12/2004)

“TWO DECADES WITHOUT YOU, JAY…
20 years gone, still feels like yesterday,
Vibrant, full of life, never faded, no gray,
Life took you quick, but your essence still stays.”

Wunmi praised Jaiye’s “warm spirit,” “reliability,” and “devotion to family,” describing him as a protective and loving husband and father.

She ended her tribute with, “Two decades in but it hits like you just left. Your vibe, no cap, one can never forget.

“So 20 candles, Jay, we light them today,
Each flame a memory, in our hearts you’ll stay.
Sleep on, Beloved, in perfect peace.”

Jaiye Aboderin who passed away on December 3, 2004, was married to actress Stella Damasus.

The couple had two daughters.
