Chief executive officer of 360group, Noble Igwe, has made some clarifications on his controversial tweets about internet fraudsters, known in Nigeria as “Yahoo boys”.
In a series of messages posted on Twitter last Friday, Noble listed alleged fraud fronts to include record labels, car sale business and online stores.
It followed a reported raid on a nightclub by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest scammers.
Noble’s intervention was commended by many while some labelled him a “snitch”.
On Monday, the blogger took to Twitter to clarify his comments, stating that not all stores, record labels and car dealers are fronts for fraudsters.

Noble had earlier stated that the EFCC should have a waiter stationed at every club in Victoria and Lekki in Lagos.
Online stores and stores on Admiralty/Fola Osibo in Lekki, he said, are also used for money laundering.
According to him, people who steal with computers should also be referred to as armed robbers.
