Nigerian singers Yemi Alade, Burna Boy and Mr Eazi have bagged Grammy certificates courtesy of their collaboration with Beninese-American music icon Angelique Kidjo on the Mother Nature album.
Zambian singer Sampa di Great also got a Grammy certificate for featuring on the album.
Angelique Kidjo won the Best Global Music Album category beating Afro-beat stars Femi Kuti and Wizkid.
The announcement was made during the ceremony held in Los Angeles on Sunday.
During her acceptance speech, the 60-year-old Angelique gave shouts outs to Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and other African artistes, acknowledging them for their contributions to the African music industry.
Celebrating her win, Yemi retweeted congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities and fans.
“You can’t understand greatness! It is for your admiration, not your approval,” she tweeted.
She also congratulated Angelique on her win.
