Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has been announced as co-host of the 2016 edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) holding on Saturday in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She will share hosting duties with South African celebrities Bonang Matheba and Nomzamo Mbatha.
The announcement was made on Friday hours after South African comedian, Trevor Noah, pulled out at the 11th hour due to an ear infection and strain on his vocal cord.

Now, the trio have less than 24 hours to prepare for the event.
The two-hour live event will take place at the Ticketpro Dome with performances from African stars like Alikiba, Babes Woduma, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Wizkid and Ycee.
