Singer, Yemi Alade, has clapped back at a critic who called her the ‘biggest scam in music’ and slammed her music as ‘noise.’
The critic with username @yanshblack who replying to a tweet sent out by Yemi in which she asked her followers to suggest the biggest scammers since 1960.
He wrote, “Yemi Alade. You re d biggest scam in music. Your music dey give us noise with no vibes. Must you dress and sing in cultural attire.”
The ‘Shekere’ singer replied, “I like my noise ….. focus on yours.”
In September 2016, Yemi dismissed the critics of her music as sexists who do not even bother with proper research before airing their opinions.
“I don tire for all these self-acclaimed critics in this Nigeria. They don’t do any form of research, they don’t listen to the artistes’ songs.
“I’m upset about this kind of thing, I just really think that people don’t know when they’re actually being biased gender-wise. They don’t know when they’re trying to pick on females. Enough is enough, y’all just shut up!” she wrote on Snapchat
