Singer Yemi Alade has lamented the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The singer took to Twitter on Saturday to express her concern over the state of students who have been home since the strike started.
Yemi stated that the Nigerian government has failed.
“Our government has failed us, students are still at home,” she wrote.
This came days after fellow singer Rema begged ASUU to call of the strike.
The singer said strike was preventing him from resuming his academic session at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where he recently got admitted.
“ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o! e don do nau,” he wrote on Twitter.
