MAMA 2015 Best Female Act, Yemi Alade, on Tuesday released the video for ‘Sugar’, a single off her debut album Kings of Queens.
This follows news that the Effizie Music act is set to launch a fashion line tagged The Yemi Alade Collection on November 5, 2015 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Directed by Paul Gambit, the ‘Sugar’ video features celebrated dancer and choreographer, Ezinne Asinugo of C.E.O. Dancers.
The song was produced by Philkeys.
Yemi is collaborating with online jeweller, Bland2Glam for The Yemi Alade Collection which will be unveiled alongside the Get Mented Initiative for young girls across the African continent.
Get Mented is an initiative by the 26-year-old to grow Africa’s biggest and most participatory mentorship network to inspire, educate and mentor young girls and women on self-improvement, self-esteem, entrepreneurship and personal development.
A group of experienced and accomplished women in diverse fields will act as mentors for the project.
A percentage of proceeds from The Yemi Alade Collection will be directed towards supporting the initiative.
