Yeni Kuti, daughter of late Fela Kuti and sister to Femi Kuti has said that the allegation against Femi by Baba Ani is false.
Qed.ng had reported that Baba Ani, the former manager of the Egypt 80 band said that Femi Kuti banned him from the shrine because of his loyalty to Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 band.
Yeni, in an Instagram post on Tuesday, debunked the allegation, describing the narrative as a means of igniting ‘flames of discord’ in the family.
“I am surprised that one of the perpetrators and feeders of the ‘war’ in the family has come up to give a narrative of outright lies instead of being an elder and trying to make things right, is trying to fan once again flames of discord.
As long as I am alive I will continue to make sure they fail. The Kuti family remains a united family,” she wrote in parts.
Seun Kuti in an earlier post responded to the allegation, stating that Baba Ani lied.
