Singer Idowu Adeyemi, popularly known as Yhemolee, has proposed to his girlfriend Tayo Oyindamola also known as Thayour.
The engagement comes just weeks before their wedding is reportedly scheduled to take place.
Social media was abuzz last week with speculation about the singer’s impending nuptials to his longtime partner.
The couple, known for keeping their relationship private, had begun sharing wedding invitations discreetly within their inner circle. One of their guests shared a glimpse of the wedding invite, complete with Asoebi, on her Snapchat.
Yhemolee confirmed the engagement on Wednesday night via Snapchat and Instagram Stories, sharing videos of the proposal.
The viral footage shows the singer on one knee, asking Thayour to be his wife—a proposal she joyfully accepted. One post on his Instagram Story featured Thayour flaunting her engagement ring with the caption “My wife.”
Thayour also took to her Instagram Story to share clips of herself and Yhemolee celebrating their engagement.
In one post, she wrote, “Said yes to my heart,” and in another, the couple can be seen dancing together. A particularly romantic video captured the couple sharing a kiss, with Thayour captioning it, “You and I forever.”
Reports indicate that the couple will tie the knot next month in Lagos.
Yhemolee had previously debunked rumour he was expecting a child.
