Gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori has called on Nigerians to pray for her, revealing that she has been going through challenging times for the past six months.
During an Instagram Live session on Friday, Adeyinka urged her followers to keep her in their prayers, emphasising the importance of their support.
“This is very important to me,” she said.
“Wherever you hear my voice, I just want you to pray, keep praying for me. I need your prayers. A lot of things have been happening from six months back, or one year back.”
Adeyinka also encouraged Nigerians to pray for themselves and everything that concerns them.
Switching to Yoruba, she added, “Lord, anyone that refuses to tell me ‘Well done’ while I’m alive, please don’t give them the opportunity to see my death and say, ‘Rest in peace.'”
She shared that her heart is heavy and expressed frustration that people often overlook small victories, only showing up to offer condolences during times of loss.
Fighting back tears, Adeyinka revealed that she is trying to stay strong despite the overwhelming emotions.
Her heartfelt appeal comes in the wake of fellow gospel artiste Aduke Gold’s death on August 12 at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.
