Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has reportedly married Gumsu Abacha daughter of the late military dictator Sani Abacha in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The marriage was reportedly held on Wednesday at the Abuja residence of the bride’s brother Mohammed Abacha.
Buni is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker national chairman.
High-profile personalities and government officials including the comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Hameed Ali were present at the ceremony.
Gumsu, 45, is the governor’s fourth wife. Her marriage to Cameroonian multi-billionaire Bayero Mohamadou reportedly ended last year.
Shortly after he assumed office in 2019, Buni married Ummy Gaidam daughter of his predecessor and incumbent Yobe East Senator Ibrahim Gaidam.
