Actor Yomi Fabiyi has talked about forgiveness and choosing the right friends on his colleague Baba Ijesha’s birthday.
Yomi, a close friend of the embattled actor posted his photo on Instagram on Friday to celebrate him.
In the birthday message, the filmmaker prayed for guidance and blessings. He also prayed against befriending those who do not have the spirit of forgiveness.
“Happy Birthday Lanre Omiyinka @babaijesha Best birthday wishes and may the blessings and prayers that go with ones birthday come through for you soon and in future guide you in choosing your friends and those you move close to.
“Ile Aiye Ogun ni (this life is war). There are some people the day you start friendship with them is the day one has jam agbako. May God not let our children choose wrong friends. And who we will offend but not forgive, may God not let us or your children run into them”.
In an interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown on Your View TV show on Friday September 16, Yomi Fabiyi stated that he does not own comedian Princess for supporting Baba Ijesha during his trial.
Baba Ijesha was convicted for indecent treatment of a child and sexual assault of the minor who is also princess’ foster daughter among other offences by the court.
He was, thereafter, sentenced to serve a five-year jail term. Through his counsel, the Yoruba actor later approached the court for post-conviction bail, pending the determination of his appeal at the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.
After the conviction, Princess born Damilola Adekoya took to the to rain curses on Yomi Fabiyi and others who supported Baba Ijesha during the trial.
