Actor Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to the conviction of actor Olanrewaju James aka Baba Ijesha for sexual assault.
An Ikeja Special Offences Court on Thursday, July 14 found Baba Ijesha guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The minor is the foster daughter of comedianne Princess.
Baba Ijesha was found guilty of charges 2, 3, 4 and 5 but discharged and acquitted of charges 1 and 6.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the court’s verdict, Fabiyi stated that Baba Ijesha still has ample opportunities to challenge the ruling of the court until he has exhausted all his limits.
Speaking in parts, he said: “He has the opportunity of appealing. The fact that he’s been found of some charges, for some, he’s not guilty so we should allow the defendant to exercise his fundamental rights which is going to appeal if necessary, to challenge the ruling of this court.”
