Actor Adewale Adeyemo, known to many as Baba Igbomina, has died two years after he raised alarm about his deteriorating health.
Prince Adewale died on Monday morning, according to his colleague Kunle Afod.
Kunle prayed in an Instagram post that God should comfort all who knew the actor.
“Hmmmm God you know best RIP Prince Adewale Adeyemo.
“He passed on early hours of today after a brief illness. God will comfort all his family, friends and colleagues,” he wrote.
This comes hours after the Yoruba movie industry held a night of tribute for the late Murphy Afolabi who died on May 14.
In 2021, the public learnt that Adewale was down with health issues related to his internal organs.
The actor called for support and got the help he needed.
Some other colleagues of the deceased such as Yinka Quadri, Kemi Korede, and Itele d Icon have also taken to social media to mourn him.
In 2020, Adewale revealed he lost his set of twins in 1988 while on a movie set in Lagos. He said the incident almost made him quit acting.
“I went to a movie location in Lagos State, there was a man called Apereijangbon, we were at his movie set, then there was no public bus plying Meran road, no mobile phone also to communicate with me. I was working and earning only 40 naira per day, I was living at Berliet Ilasa and before I could get home, a lot had happened.
“I got home around 6 pm and I found the house to be emptied, I learnt that my wife was at Ijora with my mum and my sister who is now late. So, I was forced to go and check on them, on getting to Ijora I discovered my daughter Taiwo was dead,” he told Yoruba Movie Gist.
Adewale added that Kehinde died the following day.
