Yoruba comic actor Sisi Quadri has announced the death of his mother fondly called Iya Elewa.
He made the announcement in a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday night.
The video shows the actor crying inconsolably and the burial of his mother according to Islamic rites.
He captioned the post: “You were the best friend I have ever had mom.
“You will always be in my heart.
“I can’t believe you’re no more; I miss you mummy.”
Some of Sisi Quadri’s colleagues have sent him condolence messages on his mum’s death.
“Take heart Egbon mi. Mama has gone to rest. My condolences,” Funmi Awelewa wrote.
“My condolences. Iya elewa Orun ire ooo,” Afeez Owo wrote.
“Sorry for your loss. May her soul rip,” Toyo Sobola wrote.
“Sorry for your loss Quadri, God will grant her eternal rest,” Desola Afod, wife of actor Kunle Afod wrote.
