Yoruba actress, Funmilayo Ishola Ogunsola, popularly known for her movie character as ‘Ijewuru’ has died.
The actress died on Monday at her residence in Ibadan.
The deceased, who was widely known as Mama Ijewuru, was loved for her deaf-like display in Yoruba movies.
A family member, Adebisi Olasumbo Ogunsola, shared the news of her passing on Facebook.
Ijewuru was one of the wives of veteran Yoruba actor, Ishola Ogunsola, a.k.a. I Show Pepper, who died in 1992.
Ishola Ogunsola was one of the founding members of the Association of National Theater Arts Practitioners.
