Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, has described her colleague, Georgina Onuoha, as a strong woman as the latter celebrated her 38th birthday on Saturday.
According to the Okafor’s Law producer, Georgina has been through a lot and came out stronger.
“You are such a strong woman who has been through a lot but you’ve come up stronger! May God continue to bless and favour you all your life.
“Happy birthday darling sis. May every good thing come,” Omoni wrote in an Instagram post.
A grateful Georgina celebrated her birthday with the release of a series of new pictures on Instagram.
The Anambra indigene has had to go through the pain of a broken marriage when her union with Dr. Ifeanyi Igwegbe crashed in 2012.
She left the marriage with two daughters and a lot of soul-searching.
“In a 2015 Facebook post, she wrote: There are no victors or vanquish(ed). I still have tremendous respect for the father of my kids and I ask same from you all. He is a good man and a great father, the fact that this marriage did not work is our failures as two adults. I take full responsibility for the part I played in it. While marriage ends, true friendship never dies. We remain good friends and great parents to our two lovely daughters. We will do our best to give them the best life has to offer. Once again, thanks for all your love and support through the years.”
A year after, she revealed she had been battling with an undisclosed illness for eight years.
“For 8 years I have battled this illness and at every life-threatening moment, you’ve reassured me of your love. I will forever thank thee as I recover slowly,” she wrote in an Instagram message that came with a picture of her lying on a hospital bed.
