Actor Femi Adebayo has said that his colleague Dayo Amusa can never have rest of mind if his success is a problem for her.
The 45-year-old said this in an Instagram post on Tuesday while responding to Dayo who had on Monday, criticised him for announcing crossdresser Bobrisky as the best-dressed female at Eniola Ajao’s Beast of Two Worlds premiere.
The announcement sparked reactions on social media as several celebrities including Dayo Amusa knocked the judges for placing Bobrisky in a female category.
Dayo Amusa stated that declaring Bobrisky as the best-dressed female was disrespectful to women.
As criticism over Femi Adebayo’s announcement heightened, his wife Omotayo Aduke was forced to put out a statement on Instagram on Tuesday in which she berated those attacking her husband, saying that Femi was only asked to announce the winner and should not be blamed.
An hour later, Dayo Amusa took to her Instagram account to respond to Aduke writing, “It’s cool to want to defend your own ALADUKE! I respect you for that but throwing banta only shows how shallow-minded you are…He has to own up to it, take responsibility for his actions and do the needful. No one is an enemy in disguise. Hypocrisy doesn’t exist here. I said all I said and I stand firmly on it. DON’T PUSH THIS TOO FAR.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, Femi Adebayo advised Dayo to focus on her career, saying that she cannot have rest of mind if his success troubles her.
He wrote: “I now see that you truly want to come for me! You have actually done it with the wrongest person @dayoamusa if my success is your problem you can never have rest of mind because I have just started! It’s advisable you channel your energy to your career and not be too busy on bringing me down!!!”
