Senator Shehu Sani has advised Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to forgive the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, of any wrong done him.
In a tweet on Friday, Sani, who represented Kaduna South, said Ganduje should let the monarch be, adding that he might need him in future.
“Dear Brother @GovUmarGanduje, forgive, forget and move on and let the Emir be. Power is transient. You may need him tomorrow when everyone has left,” he said.
Ganduje is seen in most quarters as launching a vendetta against Sanusi for not supporting his second-term bid.
The governor created four new emirates to add to the existing Kano Emirate in a move perceived to be aimed at reducing the monarch’s influence.
More recently, Sanusi is wanted before the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to face questions on alleged N2.2 billion land scam.
