Actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, has shared a heartfelt tribute to his first wife Ejide Adebayo on her birthday.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, Oga Bello expressed his admiration for his wife, calling her a pillar of their family and praying for her continued good health.

He wrote, “Happy birthday to my darling wife… you remain a strong pillar of our adorable family. May Allah grant you more sound health and grace to enjoy more in life.”

Femi Adebayo, Oga Bello’s son and fellow actor, also joined in the celebration with a video of them dancing together.

He shared a message, writing, “Happy birthday to my dearest Ejide, – Iya mi owon ❤️. You are the epitome of love, kindness, and grace. Your unwavering support, prayers, and sacrifices have shaped me into the person I am today. I am endlessly grateful for your wisdom, laughter, and the way you always put family first.

“Today, I celebrate not just your birthday but the amazing woman you are—strong, compassionate, and endlessly loving. I pray that Almighty Allah SWT bless you with many more years of good health, joy, and peace, Maami.

Fans and celebrities alike have also joined in sending their wishes to the celebrant.

Oga Bello and Ejide Adebayo’s marriage dates back to 1978 and the couple, who have five children including the famous Femi Adebayo, have shared several decades together.

The actor known for his commitment to family, has frequently praised the bond he shares with his wife and children.

In a 2020 interview, Oga Bello shared the story of how he first met Ejide in 1966, during their primary school days. He recalled that he often punished her as her senior, but their bond grew stronger when she began bringing him snacks.

Over time, their friendship blossomed into something deeper.

Reflecting on their 45 years of marriage, Oga Bello revealed that while they had feelings for each other as children, it was only in secondary school that they truly understood the meaning of love.

Looking back on his journey into polygamy, Oga Bello explained, “All I wanted was to be with my wife, but Almighty Allah said that was not my destiny.”

He admitted that despite not being comfortable with his affairs with other women, he found it difficult to stop, ultimately becoming a polygamist.

In 2016, he married his second wife Omotayo Sanusi.
