Actress Mide Martins has remembered her mother Funmi Martins 20 years after the latter’s death.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Mide posted a video from the funeral ceremony which was attended by friends and colleagues of the deceased.
Mide prayed that her mum will continue to rest in peace. She added that her good deeds can never be forgotten.
She wrote: “20 YEARS REMEMBRANCE!!! 20 YEARS LIKE YESTERDAY, IN THE LOVING MEMORY OF LATE FUNMI MARTINS. MAY YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE”.
“IYA MI OWON ANIKE OLUWAFUNMILAYO FLORENCE. REST ON ANIKE TILL WE MEET TO PART NO MORE. YOUR GOOD DEEDS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN”.
Funmi Martins died on May 6, 2002 at the age of 38.
Mide predominantly acts in Yoruba movies and has featured in movies such as Omo Oku Orun, Eru Eleru and Arewa.
She has been married to fellow actor, Afeez Owo, her mother former’s personal assistant, for 14 years, and they have two daughters together.
