Veteran actress Joke Silva on Friday penned down a message to stage actress Najite Dede to celebrate the latter’s 50th birthday.
Joke shared photos of Najite on Instagram on Friday, commending the actress’s fierceness and intelligence.
“This gorgeous cutie is 50 today. Onajite Dede (@najitedede) from Shylock to Vagaina Monologues, to King Must Dance Naked, to Heart Beat the Musical to Her Majesties Visit!!! Lawyer, Actor! Dancer!Director.! You are incredibly blessed. I look forward to us working some more…philosophising some more …and you just wowing me even more with your fierce articulate intelligence. Have a great year ahead,” she wrote.
The excited Najite also shared childhood photos of herself on Instagram, thanking God for holding her hand through each decade of her life.
Fellow stage actress Lala Akindoju also wished her a happy birthday saying, “Happy birthday to you, you are amazing. You’ve got a heart of gold. God bless you and keep and do exceedingly above all that you can ask or think.”
Besides acting and directing, Naijte is also a dancer and movie producer.
The versatile actress has starred in several Nollywood movies, television series, stage plays and musicals some of which are; The Upside Your Head Show, All About Ere, Prince of the Savannah, Her Majesty’s Return among others.
She studied law and theatre arts at the University of Ibadan.
Najite is the elder sister of actress and media personality Michelle Dede.
