President Bola Tinubu has been filmed in his office celebrating the judgement of the Supreme Court.
The apex court on Thursday dismissed all appeals against Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 election, upholding the decision of the tribunal which sat at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The court said it had no jurisdiction to receive fresh evidence from the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February poll Atiku Abubakar and also dismissed his appeal.
It also ruled that the appeal brought by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi lacked merit.
Shortly after the court’s verdict, a video from the State House, Abuja showed Tinubu celebrating his victory at the nation’s top court with his aides.
“Ajuri, your job is secured,” Tinubu told his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Among those who were in the president’s office at the time was the minister of marine and blue economy, Gboyega Oyetola; and Tinubu’s aide-de-camp Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf.
