Actress Ebele Okaro has expressed gratitude to music executive E-money for promising to raise the three children of her late colleague Junior Pope.
E-Money made the promise in an Instagram post on Wednesday in which he vowed to nurture and take care of Junior Pope’s kids, one week after the latter died in a boat accident.
He wrote: “It has been one week since you departed from this world, leaving behind a profound sense of loss that reverberates not only among us but also across Africa and beyond. Your presence, as both a friend and a brother, is deeply missed, JP. The weight of your absence bears heavily upon our hearts, yet we draw comfort from the belief that God will grant us the resilience to carry forward and uphold the legacy you’ve entrusted to us.
“We tenderly remember your final words on the boat, “NA ONLY ME DEM BORN I GET 3 CHILDREN NA ME GO RAISE THEM,” and we solemnly commit to honoring that vow. Your children now find solace in the embrace of the Okonkwo family, and we, as members of that family, pledge to nurture them as you would have wished.”
Reacting in the comment section of the post, Ebele Okaro applauded the Five Star Music Group chairman writing, “Our hearts bleed for JP. Thank God for true friends like you. May God grant you their grace, blessings and whatever you need to fulfil your promise. Chukwudebegi and yours.”
Junior Pope passed away on the night of April 10 after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew; Friday, Olanti and Precious drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.
Junior Pope got married to his partner Jennifer Awele in 2014.
Their children are Jason, Jaden and Jamon.
