Afrobeat star Seun Kuti on Monday showered praises on his daughter Adara to celebrate her eighth birthday.
The excited father wrote a goodwill message to the girl on Instagram, saying she is all he could ever wish for in a child.
“The 8 faces of @adarakuti on her 8th birthday. Thanks for being all I could ever wish for in a child. I am happy to be your life guide and to watch you grow has truly been the best part of the last few years and here is to more amazing years together!! Happy bday Adara Anikulapo-Kuti,” he wrote.
Fellow celebrities and fans wished Adara a happy birthday in the comment section of the post.
Seun recently urged parents against forcing children to take after them.
Arguing his stance, the Egypt 80 current band leader said parents and adults, in general, should rather embrace the form of their children who are still very much pure in heart.
The 38-year-old added children are the ‘true saints’ thus, the need to quit trying to make them conform to their parents or any other adult who he described as ‘damaged’.
He shared a photo with his daughter and captioned it: “We must stop betraying the true saints, the pure of heart, our children! Be more like them and don’t make them like you, you are damaged! #getthesax.”
