Comedian Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth is celebrating his daughter Janell’s birthday with a heartfelt message.
Basketmouth shared pictures of his daughter on Tuesday on Instagram, expressing his love and pride for her.
He wrote, “Happy birthday to the source of brightness in my life. May your many years on earth be filled with love, laughter, happiness, great health, God’s favor, protection, peace, and joy.
“I love you so much, my sweetheart. Continue making daddy proud.”
Basketmouth separated from his wife of 12 years Elsie Uzoma in 2022.
The announcement on social media read, “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
“We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you.”
Basketmouth and Elsie have three children — Janell, Jason and Maya Okpocha.
