Actor Yul Edochie was notably absent at the low key celebration of his mother’s birthday at his dad Pete Edochie’s residence.
In a video on his Instagram account on Monday, Yul’s brother Linc could be seen praying for Pete’s wife Josephine in Igbo language while other family members and friends echoed “Amen”.
In the video, one of the men could be heard hailing Linc as “the son of his father” while the latter made a toast to long life, good health and prosperity.
However, Yul Edochie who spent his weekend in his hometown in Anambra State was not in the video posted on Instagram.
The 42-year-old said he spent his Sunday with some kids in his village and some of his kinsmen.
“My Sunday. I spent it with some children in my village, Akamnato, Nteje. Anambra State. I did salaka for them, they prayed for me. It was beautiful. Then I had a great time with some members of my kindred. It was so much fun,” he wrote in a video uploaded to his Instagram account.
Yul unsettled the peace in his home in April 2022 when he announced he had married actress Judy Austin as his second wife and that they have a son together.
His brother Linc who is also an actor was one of his siblings who distanced themselves from the actor’s second marriage saga.
On April 22, 2024, Yul confirmed he welcomed another son with Judy.
The child who is named after Yul’s Pete Edochie, was unveiled by his parents in an Instagram post on his first birthday.
