Actress Judy Austin, second wife of actor Yul Edochie, on Thursday night reacted to the death of Kambilinachukwu Yul-Edochie.
Kambilinachukwu, Yul’s first son with first wife May, died on March 30 after he developed a seizure in school while playing football with his mates.
Reacting publicly to his demise for the first time, Judy said in an Instagram post that God knows the reason for the boy’s sudden death.
The actress, who came under heavy criticism on social media following the boy’s death, described him as a “great son”.
She shared a candlelight photo on her Instagram page indicating that a loved one had died.
“God knows best. Rest in Heaven with God, Great son. Kambi Yul-Edochie,” she wrote.
Judy’s reaction came a few hours after the boy’s father Yul broke his silence on the incident nearly one month after it happened.
Yul said in his Instagram post that his son made his mark in the world in just 16 years.
He shared a video showing notable moments in the boy’s life including his birthday and graduation.
He recounted his conversation with Kambilinachukwu hours before the incident and how they joked.
Yul added that he could not question God on the unfortunate incident.
“On that Wednesday morning, you came into my room, dressed up for school. You told me your school will be having inter-house sports on Friday and I promised you I’ll be there.
“You were so excited. You told me you won a gold medal in swimming.I congratulated you. We joked about your height, then you left for school in your ever-cheerful manner. And you never came back home again,” he wrote.
May Edochie has not reacted publicly to the death of her son.
