Rapper Onome Onokohwomo, popularly known as Yung6ix, has revealed how he narrowly escaped death during an armed robbery in Downtown Los Angeles.
Sharing his ordeal on X (formerly Twitter), the US-based rapper disclosed that a bullet fired by the assailants missed him, leaving him shaken but unharmed.
Describing the experience as “mind-boggling,” Yung6ix credited his survival to divine intervention and his mother’s prayers.
He wrote, “I just wanna thank God for working harder than satan. They just tried to rob me in DTLA. F*ck my car up. Never been this shocked in a minute. I’m grateful. Mama’s prayers working.”
The rapper added, “Na where the bullet pass we still dey find, cuz I was in the car. I thought this guy was gonna kill me bro, I swear on blood of Jesus. God forbid, na so I for just go yesterday? God is definitely working overtime for me.”
This incident marks the second armed robbery involving a Nigerian celebrity within a week.
DJ Big N recently recounted his harrowing experience in South Africa, where he was shot in the leg and robbed of his belongings. While Yung6ix escaped unscathed, DJ Big N’s ordeal left him hospitalised.
