Actress Yvonne Jegede has dismissed claims by a blogger that she secretly married Senator Ned Nwoko, husband of actress Regina Daniels.
After Yvonne deleted some images on her Instagram page, the blogger claimed the actress was starting a new chapter in her life after secretly getting married to Nwoko.
Angered by this, Yvonne denied the report in an Instagram post on Friday, adding that the writer was out to tarnish her image.
She urged Nigerians not to believe everything they see on social media.
Alongside a photo of the alleged wedding, the movie star wrote, “When many people tell you they know ‘something’ is happening or believe something has happened, you ask them how they got to know, they tell you they read or heard it from the Internet. Oftentimes, they heard it from idiots like the person talking in this shameless and false post.
“How could you be this bold about falsehood? How can you lie confidently?
“How can you intentionally tarnish people’s image and damage relationships all because you want to attract people to your blogs?
“This funny post is evil and false in every intent. I won’t dissipate energy fighting you. Karma is already dealing with your destiny because if you have one, you won’t be all gassed up about other people’s lives when yours is tattered.”
Yvonne wondered how deleting photos on her page should mean anything to the blogger.
She advised the blogger to focus on getting traffic to her platform without making people look bad.
Regina dropped a comment on Yvonne’s post, “My queen oooo.”
In February, Nwoko paid Regina a visit on a movie set and also met Yvonne.
