Actress Yvonne Jegede has shared a video of her son Xavier learning her Edo dialect.
The single mother posted the video on Instagram, saying that she was proud of her dialect and she is not ashamed of passing it down to her son.
In the video, the boy could be heard saying he wants to play outside.
Yvonne replied to him in their dialect and the boy responded.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “Our daily struggle. I’m too proud of my dialect not to pass it down.”
“My mama insists that I speak her dialect. This is my struggle,” Xavier wrote on his Instagram page.
