Acting Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, on Monday assumed office after her appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace Kemi Adeosun.
Ahmed was announced as Adeosun’s replacement following the latter’s resignation on Friday over forged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.
The acting minister was reading through her predecessor’s handover note as at the time of filing this report.
Until her new appointment, Ahmed was the Minister of State, Budget and National Planning.
Adeosun has since travelled out of Nigeria to England, which is her country of birth.
